Central Michigan University STEM Education Program Facilitator

In my 12 years of teaching a handful of grade levels between 3rd and 8th, I incorporated technology and multimodal projects whenever possible. In my current position at the Center for Excellence in STEM Education, incorporating technology remains a secondary focus in my work. Engaging students in authentic Design Thinking experiences is my primary focus as a way to help them empathize, problem-solve, connect, and contribute their innovations to our community of makers. Always eager to learn something new, this transition to virtual experiences has provided plenty of opportunities for exactly that! Looking forward to connecting (virtually) and sharing ways in which we can inspire and instill a sense of curiosity, compassion, and confidence in the learners we have the pleasure of leading.
